A Bite-Sized Solution to a Big Problem

It Started with a Small Apartment and a Big Realization
During the peak of the pandemic, while completing my MBA virtually, I noticed something troubling. My daily takeout orders weren’t just bringing me food—they were bringing an avalanche of plastic cutlery. Day after day, I found myself tossing away spoons, forks, and straws that I never even used.
Curious (and mildly horrified), I did the math. With increased food delivery worldwide, one person could accumulate over 500 pieces of plastic cutlery annually. Multiply that by millions, and the scale of the waste was staggering.
I wasn’t alone in this. Plastic pollution was skyrocketing, and traditional “biodegradable” solutions weren’t cutting it. It was clear: if we wanted to stop plastic waste, we needed a better alternative.
That’s when Snacxtic was born.

From an MBA Project to a Sustainability Movement
Armed with a business analytics background and a vision for change, I partnered with food scientists and sustainability experts to find a solution that wasn’t just good for the planet—but genuinely exciting to use.
The answer? Edible cutlery.
We took rescued grains and vegetable proteins, combined them with innovative food technology, and created spoons, straws, and cups that are sturdy enough to use, delicious enough to eat, and completely waste-free.
The name Snacxtic comes from “snacks” and “fantastic”—because why should sustainability feel like a sacrifice when it can be a treat?
